William Hardie is responsible for Oracle Database product management, focusing on growing Oracle’s business in the global database, data warehousing, and embedded database markets. His area of expertise includes Oracle Database, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle In-Memory Database Cache, Oracle Advanced Compression, and other key Oracle Database options. Hardie has been in IT for more than 25 years and has specialized in relational database technologies for more than 20 years. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, he has worked with Oracle Database since Release 5.
Rich Niemiec

Rich Niemiec is the current Chief Innovation Officer of Viscosity North America. As an Oracle Ace Director and world-renowned IT Expert, Rich was a co-founder and CEO of TUSC, a Chicago-based systems integrator of Oracle-based business solutions started in 1988. Rich has served as President of Rolta TUSC and Rolta EICT. Rich is the past President of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and the current President of the Midwest Oracle Users Group (MOUG). His accolades include being one of six originally honored worldwide Oracle Certified Masters. His 34 years of experience includes database administration, performance tuning, project management, and technical education. In 2017, he authored “Oracle12c Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques”, an update of his previous four best sellers; Oracle8i, 9i, 10g, and 11i Performance Tuning.
