Organizations need to eliminate the obstacles, barriers and complexity to gaining business insight from analytic platforms to stay competitive. The Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud (ADWC) is the next generation analytic platform that will significantly accelerate business insight. ADWC takes decades of Oracle automation to the next step with the world’s first self-driving database. In this presentation, we will look at the Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud and discuss Provisioning, Automated Management, Monitoring, Dynamic Scaling, Migration, and Interface Tools. The ADWC Management Console, Object Storage, and Oracle Machine Learning will also be covered.
10:30 - 11:30 AM - Oracle Cloud in the Horizon - Rich Niemiec
This presentation will cover Oracle’s Acceleration, especially with the Oracle Cloud, and the Cycles of Innovation in the world. We’ll look at a quick step by step PaaS example and how easy it is to use. Then look at the current Acceleration of the Cloud and the Big Data Revolution with Internet of Things (IoT).
11:30 - 12:15 PM - Backup to Oracle Cloud - Charles Kim
Let us challenge your thoughts about backing up files to Oracle Cloud. Every customer should be considering RMAN backups of their databases to Oracle Cloud (if not already); and backing up the Oracle database to the Cloud is just the tip of the iceberg. You have to think outside the box and consider the entire solution and include the non-database files such as middleware backups, documents, reports, logs, etc. In this session, we will provide end-to-end backup solutions to Oracle Cloud and present a deep-dive content of backing up the database to the Oracle Cloud. Charles Kim will go into extensive details on backing up non-oracle files to Oracle Cloud and demonstrate various methods to uploading and downloading various types files (including RMAN) to the Cloud and how to drive performance.
12:15 - 1:00 PM - Lunch provided by Viscosity
