Viscosity Sessions: APEX Track
Secure RESTful Services
Wednesday, June 13, 2018 | Session 13, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM EDT
Presenter: Scott Spendolini
When: Wednesday, June 13, 2018, Session 13, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM EDT
Room: Asia 2, Lobby/Third Level
Web services are everywhere these days. You may find yourself needing to both produce and consume them, depending on the requirement. Because the data transmitted from web services is just as sensitive as data within your own database, you must pay close attention to ensure that it’s being transmitted in the most secure fashion possible.
This session will cover how to create and secure a RESTful web service via ORDS using OAuth 2.0. We will also explore how to consume a web service that requires OAuth 2.0 based authentication via PL/SQL APIs.
Join us at our special event on Monday night of Kscope following Community Night.
