It’s all about the Data
Register for Oracle Tech Day in Dallas, Texas
April 12th, 2018 | 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
The recent trend of companies moving their traditional IT environments into the cloud seems challenging, time consuming, and expensive. In actuality, moving your on-premise services into the Oracle Cloud can take you less than 15 minutes, it is painless, and it is complimentary. Join Oracle ACE Director, Charles Kim, as he conducts a segment of his popular Oracle Cloud hands-on lab, known to Oracle users around the globe as the Cloud Experience.
Start your journey to the Oracle Cloud here… We walk you through an Oracle Cloud services trial so you can learn how to setup and configure the cloud and migrate data from an on-premise Oracle Database 12 implementation to the cloud. Create a storage container, set up OS secure authentication, and more.
Are you familiar with Infrastructure as Code? One of our sessions will highlight deploying an Enterprise Kubernetes Cluster in Oracle Cloud with Terraform
Presentations and Happy hour at Ballast Point Brewing Company at Miramar, more information below.
* It is highly recommended that attendees register for free Oracle Cloud credits to follow along and gain the most value out of the interactive demo. Attendees must bring their own laptops to participate in the hands on lab.

During this event you can expect to get a first-hand look at the Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse with a specific focus on security. The security of the Oracle Cloud is a complex and sophisticated system that Oracle prides itself on being one of the best amongst our competitors.
We will also dive into the infrastructure of code and show you how to provision your free Oracle environment.
Kubernetes has become the go-to platform to manage and deliver solutions in the cloud. Will all the power Kubernetes provides comes a steep learning path, with all the concepts to all the parts to cover it can be difficult to determine what are the relevant parts to put attention to and when deciding to deploy a cluster into a cloud environment. In this session we will explore the use of Terraform, a tool for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure safely and efficiently and also an Oracle project called terraform-kubernetes-installer. We will explore HA recommendations and also tasks such as deploying, and scaling up and down a Kubernetes cluster all this with the ability to keep track though versioning of all infrastructure changes.
